LATIN QUARTER OF PARIS

The Latin Quarter of Paris has that name because until the Middle Ages it was only spoken in Latin. It was home of some famous places like the Shakespeare And Company bookstore and the Luxembourg Palace and Gardens.

Center of Paris (5th  district and part of 6th).

LES MARAIS

Le Marais is a fashion district with business and legal and banking businesses. It is home to the most important Jewish population in Europe. It is considered one of the most cosmopolitan neighborhoods of the old continent.

 

Location:

 

It spreads across parts of the 3rd and 4th arrondissements in Paris (on the Rive Droite, or Right Bank, of the Seine).

LES HALLES

Les Halles, was a wholesaler market in the center of Paris until 1968, becoming from the following decade a shopping center called Forum des Halles.

 

Location:

 

Located in the heart of the city.

MONTMARTRE

Montmartre is a 130-meter high hill located on the right bank of the River Seine in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, mainly known for the white dome of the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur, located at its summit.

 

Location:

 

Is in the north of Paris, and it’s the 18th district.
